Background:
Originally opened in September 1899, Insch School was a Junior/Secondary school for over 80 years. Due to a growing population, secondary education no longer became avialable at Insch in 1981 and the local school became a primary school. The school has continued to grow over the years, resulting in a purpose-built nursery being added in September 1995. On leaving Insch our children now continue their education at either Inverurie Academy or The Gordon Schools, Huntly. Set in a beautiful part of the north-east of Scotland, approximately 28 miles north-west of Aberdeen, there are lots of things to see and do in and around the village.
